SIMPSON BAY--The Windward Islands Bank (WIB) has reopened its renovated Simpson Bay branch, introducing a modernized banking environment and dedicated support for customers seeking assistance with digital banking services.

Located at Airport Road 15, the branch officially welcomed customers back on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, followed by a reopening ceremony on Wednesday, November 4, attended by members of the bank’s management team and customers.

The renovation includes an updated interior and redesigned layout intended to improve customer service while responding to changing banking needs. One of the main additions is a dedicated area where customers can receive personal assistance with online and mobile banking.

Through this service, WIB employees will help customers who are new to digital banking, as well as those seeking guidance on using the bank’s existing digital platforms. The initiative is intended to make digital banking more accessible while maintaining the personal assistance customers expect from their local branch.

Originally opened in 1992, the Simpson Bay branch has served the community for more than three decades. Its renovation forms part of WIB’s continued investment in its branch network and efforts to modernize services.

“Simpson Bay Branch has been part of this community for over 30 years, and it is a pleasure to welcome our customers back to a space that reflects where banking is today. Digital banking offers real convenience, but we know many customers want someone beside them while they get started. This branch gives them that support. Investments like this are about making banking easier for the people we serve, and we will continue to make them,” said WIB Country Head Daisy Tyrol-Carolus.

The bank confirmed that customers will continue to have access to existing branch services during regular banking hours, along with the 24-hour depository facility.

A new ATM has also been installed at the renovated location and is expected to become operational soon. Until then, customers can use the WIB ATM situated across the street at the SOL gas station. The bank will notify customers when the new machine becomes available.

WIB said the renovated branch reflects its commitment to combining digital convenience with personal customer service, while continuing to invest in facilities that meet the needs of the St. Maarten community.

The Windward Islands Bank, a member of the MCB Group, has operated in St. Maarten for more than 65 years and provides banking services while supporting initiatives related to sustainable growth, education and social development.
