This afternoon through Friday midday: Partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers possible.

SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Friday midday: Easterly to east northeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 15 mph. 

  

SYNOPSIS:    

A tropical wave located in the vicinity of the Lesser Antilles may cause isolated showers across the local area. Meanwhile, a loose surface pressure gradient will maintain mostly gentle winds.    

Seas are expected to remain slight to moderate during the next few days. 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to moderate        WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feet  

   

SPECIAL FEATURES:  Environmental conditions are expected to be marginally conducive by early next week, for slow development of a tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic. The system is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms and is moving west northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. 

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this system and update the public accordingly. 

OUTLOOK through Saturday midday: Partly cloudy with brief showers possible.
