The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) and the Prosecutor’s Office are renewing

their appeal for information concerning the suspected shooter in the ongoing

“Alligator” investigation. The suspect remains at large and is considered armed and

dangerous.

The investigation concerns the fatal shooting of D S, originally from Trinidad and

Tobago, and D.D of the United States on 2 March 2026 in Sint Maarten.

Investigators believe Sylvester was the intended target of the shooting. D.D is not

believed to have been a target and appears to have been in the wrong place at the

wrong time.

One suspect is currently in pre-trial detention on suspicion of complicity in the two

murders. However, the suspected shooter has not yet been apprehended.

The suspected shooter has been identified as Brent Dain Danglade, born on 25

March 1977 in Trinidad and Tobago. He has since changed his name to John Dawn

Emmanuel, with the same date of birth.

The investigation indicates that Danglade/Emmanuel regularly changes his

appearance. The accompanying photographs show how he may currently look, his

appearance around the time of the murders and how he was depicted in previous

wanted notices.

He also has an elongated tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. The precise

image or meaning of the tattoo is not yet known.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police Force of Sint Maarten at 542-2233 or the anonymous tip line at 9300.
