This afternoon through Monday midday: Partly cloudy and breezy with a few passing showers possible.

SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Monday midday: East-northeasterly with a moderate to fresh breeze of 13 to 20 mph, and occasional higher gusts.  

    

SYNOPSIS:     

The strengthened Atlantic high-pressure system will generate brisk winds across the region. Pockets of moisture in the wind flow will increase the probability of showers during the forecast period.  

Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue exercising caution as marine conditions are expected to deteriorate further, with seas up to 10 feet by early Monday.  

   

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate to rough       
WAVES/SWELLS: 7 to 10 feet   

    

SPECIAL FEATURES:  Tropical Storm Zeta continues to move away from the island and does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.  

 

OUTLOOK through Tuesday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with isolated showers.
