PHILIPSBURG--The man suspected of murdering Methodist Agogic Center (MAC) educator Rhonda Thomas on February 14 will spend at least another sixty days in jail, as an investigating judge granted an extension of his pre-trial detention on Monday morning.
B.L.N. has been locked up since the night of February 17, when police arrested him at his home in Middle Region. Police searched N.’s home after the arrest and detectives confiscated several undisclosed items.
After this 60-day period has elapsed, N. will again be brought before an investigating judge to decide whether he will remain in jail or be set free until a trial date.
Thomas’ lifeless body was found on the floor of her Beacon Hill home around 12:00pm February 15. She reportedly had wounds to the neck, giving rise to speculation that someone had used a sharp object to cut and/or stab her to death.
