The project follows discussions between NV GEBE and the park’s board and aims to improve the safety and reliability of the facility’s electrical infrastructure.

NV GEBE has contracted Walker Electrical Company to carry out the work according to the agreed scope.

GEBE Temporary Manager Iris Arrindell said the improvements reflect the company’s commitment to community safety and the preservation of public facilities.

“Emilio Wilson Park holds an important place in the social and cultural life of St. Maarten, providing a space where families, residents, and organisations can come together,” Arrindell stated.

The project is intended to help maintain a safe and functional space for residents, visitors and organisations using the park.

NV GEBE said the initiative also reflects the importance of cooperation between the utility company and community organisations to improve public facilities and strengthen infrastructure that supports community life.
