ST. EUSTATIUS/SABA--The Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment has increased the minimum wage, child benefit, and social security allowances in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. These changes are based on this year’s inflation rate and will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Saba’s adult minimum wage has increased by 3.5%, going from US $10.30 to $10.66 per hour. The minimum wage has gone up by 1.9% in St. Eustatius, from $10.41 to $10.61 per hour. Bonaire’s minimum wage has seen a 3.3% bump, rising from $10.35 to $10.69 per hour.

Those entitled to full old-age pension will now receive $1,563 per month in St. Eustatius, $1,571 in Saba and $1,576 in Bonaire.

Pensioners living outside the Caribbean Netherlands will receive $1,563 per month.

Child benefits have also increased across the three islands.

Parents and guardians will now receive $238 per child in Saba, $227 in St. Eustatius and $239 in Bonaire.

Widows and orphans allowance, as well as other social relief measures, have been similarly raised in line with inflation. To view all the changes, persons can visit

“By setting the new amounts, the ministry ensures that minimum wage, child benefits, and social benefits are adjusted based on price developments,” the ministry said in a press release.
