EBENEZER--The St. Maarten AIDS Foundation rounded off its Girl Power and Real Talk booster workshops last week at the Methodist Agogic Center-Comprehensive Secondary Education (MAC-CSE) on Thursday, October 20.

The two-day workshops consisted of one Girl Power class and one Real Talk class full of bright and curious minds. The students greatly participated and the facilitators enjoyed the sessions very much, the foundation shared.
Students received information presented through various videos, poetry, pictures, demonstrations, and open discussions on numerous topics such as, identifying healthy verses unhealthy relationships, peer pressure, online bullying, life goals, self-values, self-esteem and sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) awareness.
The St. Maarten AIDS Foundation expressed continued thanks to St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF) for support and funding of the youth empowerment programmes. “They make them all possible for our students,” the foundation added.
The St. Maarten AIDS Foundation extended thanks to all its facilitators, Heather Caputo and Aneuris Richardson who facilitated the Real Talk workshops, also to Sharine Duncan and Erika Richardson who facilitated the Girl Power workshop.
