ST. EUSTATIUS--The government of St. Eustatius signed a contract with Statia Construction NV on Friday, April 8, for the execution of the Airport Gully Water Drainage Project.

  The signing ceremony was held at the Government Administration Building on Van Tonningen Weg. The documents were also signed by two witnesses.

Present at the signing were Government Commissioner Alida Francis, contractor and owner of Statia Construction NV Jamie Lopes, Chief Procurement-Purchasing Officer (CPO) David Ignacio, Rijkswaterstaat RWS Project Manager R. Landsbergen and Project-Buro Programme Project Management Organisation (PPMO) Project Manager Elvin Henriquez.

  After a brief introduction by Ignacio, Francis signed the contract on behalf of government and Lopes signed on behalf of Statia Construction NV. After the signing handshakes were exchanged and Lopes was congratulated.
