MARIGOT--Water Authority EEASM informs the population of night work starting on the national RN7 between Grand Case and Orient Bay from Monday, January 16, until the end of February. Traffic will be alternated from Monday to Friday, from 7:00pm to 6:00am the next day.
Teams will proceed with the burial of 1,500 metres of sewage pipes, from the vicinity of the Central Kitchen to the entrance of the Mont Vernon 2 and 3 subdivisions (300 metres after the Hope Estate roundabout), towards Orient Bay.
As it is not possible to lay the pipes because of the existing networks, the work will be carried out under the roadway.
This new network will eventually allow the transfer of wastewater from Grand-Case and La Savane neighbourhoods, for treatment at the Quartier d'Orléans plant.
This work is part of a 4-million,500,000-euro programme entitled \"Transfer of Effluents from Grand-Case to the Quartier d'Orléans treatment station\", co-financed by the European Union (EU) within the framework of European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), as well as by the French Office of Biodiversity (OFB) and EEASM.
