PHILIPSBURG:---\"Any party that somehow seeks place the USP in a negative light for so call \"slowing\" the process in preparations for the September 26 Parliamentary elections, should note that the USP has invoked its democratic right under the existing laws to file a challenge petition against a decision by the Main Voting Bureau. The Main Voting Bureau, in turn, has to follow the law and allow the USP's legal challenge to progress until resolution. These are the same rights under the law that is afforded to any party contesting elections on St. Maarten. Political parties and their representatives often advise the people of St. Maarten to make full use of the legal avenues available to them (eg Ombudsman etc) to address issues they feel are not correct under existing laws. In this context, political parties should also make use of the legal avenues available to them. The USP looks forward to a speedy resolution of its legal challenge.\"
