PHILIPSBURG:--- In connection with the “Last Lap Jump-up” scheduled to for Wednesday May 2nd at 08.00 p.m. the police department as a safety precaution has taking the following traffic measures. Due to the fact that Welgelegen road does not have proper lighting and in the interest of public safety the police department after discussions with the SCDF have change the place of gathering for the bands taking part in the jump-up. The bands will no longer gather in front of the Raoul Illidge Sport complex. Instead they will gather at the open lot opposite Ace Hardware on the A.J.C. Brouwers road. A.J.C. Brouwers road will beclosed at the intersection of Kooyman Hardware. All traffic going to Philipsburg will have to use alternative routes through Cay Hill to get to their destinations.
All drivers should pay keen attention to this information to avoid any unnecessary delays or inconvenience.
