TelEm Cable TV subscribers getting some great news for Christmas and the New Year.

Pond Island – TelEm Group is announcing plans to connect homes in several areas for TelEm Cable TV Service – TelEm Group is the parent company of St. Maarten Cable TV and has been restoring services for months following the passage of Hurricane Irma in September last year.
According to TelEm Group, the company’s Cable TV customers in the following areas: Belvedere, St. John’s Estate, and Ebenezer who until now have not had their service restored, can do so now at their own convenience. Other areas will be opened up for connection in the coming months.
Customers in the above-mentioned areas who previously had SXM Cable TV service should switch on their Cable TV box to see if they are receiving the Electronic Program Guide (EPG). Once a customer can see the Program Guide, they can visit any TelEm Group location to make arrangements for opening of their new account and connection of service.
“This is a good opportunity for TelEm Cable TV customers in these areas to get reconnected for the Christmas and New Year season because we are waiving the usual reconnection fee to get our customers back online,” said Manager, Sales, Mrs. Lucrecia Lynch.

Customers whose Cable TV service was interrupted due to the passage of Hurricane Irma and are now applying for reconnections are also set to receive a free month of TelEm Cable TV service as an added bonus. The free offer is only being applied to customers with service interruption caused by Hurricane Irma.
Mrs. Lynch said the key to the reconnections and knowing if customers can receive service, lies with them being able to view the Electronic Program Guide that shows the line-up of channels available.
“Some customers in the areas might find they don’t receive the program guide, and in that event, we ask that they still call us with a report so that we can take the necessary steps to get them connected as soon as possible,” said Lucrecia.
TelEm Group has meantime introduced a new queuing system so that customers can be attended to more efficiently and also invited TelEm Cable TV and other customers to come in and test the system out for themselves.
