PHILIPSBURG:--- Preparations for next year’s SXM DOET, the national edition of the largest volunteer initiative in the Dutch Kingdom, have begun. With the success of SXM DOET, 2016 drawing in 40 projects from 27 organizations and over 1,000 volunteers, the goals for SXM DOET 2017 are even bigger and better. The Project Management Team is, therefore, encouraging everyone on the island to become more involved this time around, in order to improve Sint Maarten for us all.
SXM DOET will be hosting its official information session for the third annual edition of the volunteer campaign at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library on Monday, December 12th, 2016 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM.
The informational evening invites all potential project hosts, including but not limited to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, associations, schools, as well as potential volunteers, sponsors and partnering businesses. Information about the initiative and light refreshments will be provided during the brief session.
