CAY HILL:--- St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) is proud to announce the in service of Cardiologist Dr. Emiko Bird-Lake as of November 1st, 2016.
Dr. Bird brings to our patient population 16 years of medical experience. She specializes in cardiac imagery and the non-invasive utilization of cardiac CT, cardiac ultrasounds, and cardiac MRI.
Dr. Bird was born on St. Maarten. She is proudly the first local cardiologist to work at the SMMC.
She first began her tenure at the SMMC in 2015 as a rotating cardiologist. “It has always been a priority to return home and to contribute to the quality care to our population.”
“I’m greatly encouraged by the positive reception of my patients; a stationed cardiologist at the SMMC provides the continuity factor for our patients”.
The SMMC welcomes Dr. Bird and looks forward to a continued working relationship together.
For appointments with Dr. Bird-Lake, persons can call 543-111 extension 1304. A referral letter is needed to SZV insured clients.
