SIMPSON BAY:---- International Housekeeping Week (IHW) celebrations are in full swing at Simpson Bay Resort & Marina, and culminates with a karaoke party on Friday evening. The Resort organised a week-long slate of activities for its permanent and outsourced housekeepers to show appreciation for the unsung heroes’ valuable contributions to customer satisfaction.
Activities kicked off with breakfast at the St. Maarten Yacht Club Restaurant on Monday and also included a movie night and two days of “Housekeeping Olympics,” where prizes were awarded for various competitions such as bed-making races.
IHW is an initiative of the USA-based International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) and has been celebrated internationally since 1981.
In his remarks to the staff, General Manager Marcel Javois thanked the staff for their hard work and commitment. “Truly it is because of your work that memorable vacation experiences are created,” he said.
