Marigot:--- On Sunday morning a young boy drowns at Galion Beach the Gendarmerie said in a press release. The young swimmer was out of the water but could not be revived by first aid. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

Also on Sunday morning, a dead body was found on Baie Nettle Beach. Gendarmerie said in a press release that when the body was discovered the area was closed off to allow them to conduct a criminal investigation. So far the cause of death could not be determined. The body was confiscated pending the investigation.
