Ministry of Justice launches Ministry’s website.

PHILIPSBURG:— After several months of development, The Ministry of Justice is proud to announce the launch of its new website www.ministryofjustice.sx .
The new website will be accessible to the public today December 1st, 2020.
Upon taking office, Minister Richardson deemed it necessary to develop a website for the Ministry of Justice that provides overall information about the Ministry.
The new site has multiple functionalities, such as, information about the nine (9) departments that fall under the umbrella of the Ministry of Justice and their responsibilities, upcoming projects, news, and contact information.
In addition, there is also a suggestions and complaints section where persons would be able to give their suggestions and file complaints. Complaints will be handled on a case by case basis and addressed according to the nature of the complaint.
In the first quarter of 2021, the Immigration and Border Protection Services website will also be launched. Due to the various services that the Department provides, the Ministry is exploring ways to more time-efficient and eliminate the various challenges being faced due to a backlog.
The website will also be available in various languages as Sint Maarten prides itself in being a home to hundreds of persons of various nationalities.
Applicants will be able to complete and upload their pre-applications online. Thereafter they will receive an email confirmation of their submission along with a date and time for an appointment.
Minister Richardson said, “It is significant for persons to be able to have access to accurate information and to enhance the level of service we provide”.
Minister Richardson is elated about this development and is looking forward to more enhancements within the Ministry of Justice.
