PHILIPSBURG:--- Rotarian Anjali Manek was humbled to be asked to serve as president of The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle for the Rotary Year 2017-2018. She is following in her father’s footsteps who served as President for Mid-Isle during the Rotary year 2011-12. Rotarian Anjali said, "I am honored to be nominated as the President-elect for Rotary year 2017-2018. A big thank you to all Mid Isle Rotarians for your support and together we can continue the great work to make a difference in our community and in the World". She presently serves on this year’s Mid Isle board as Community Service Director.
Rotarian Anjali is the Manager of Maneks Distributors. Her hobbies are Spending time with family & friends, reading, listening to music, swimming, and Zumba. Anjali’s favorite quote is “You must be the change you wish to see in the world “ – Gandhi
Rotarian Joelle Francillette is from Guadeloupe and is a remedial teacher on the French side of the island. Rotarian Joelle was a member of the Rotaract Club Saint Martin Nord for three years, as a rotactor with that club she served as Secretary and then President. She moved from the rotaract club of The Rotary Club Saint Martin where she served 2-1/2 year, during this time she was also a secretary. Rotarian Joelle is now a proud member of The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle and will serve as secretary during the rotary year 2017-2018. Her hobbies are reading, baking and traveling. Rotarian Joelle commented “I joined the Rotary Family to give back to my community Rotary inspires me to contribute to good humanitarian causes. My club is a great platform for service and fellowship.”
