Brison informed party President Agnes Brooks and party leader Frans Richardson of his decision:
PHILIPSBURG:--- Member of Parliament Rolando Brison faction leader of the United St. Maarten Peoples Party (USP) has submitted his resignation to the party board and leader Member of Parliament Frans Richardson.
In a letter to the USP board and leader Brison states the following:
\"I regret to inform you that I must tender my resignation from the United St. Maarten Party. I'm proud of what has been accomplished and I deeply appreciate the trust you've placed in me. It has been a privilege.
