PHILIPSBURG:--- Detectives are presently investigating a case of ill-treatment which took place on Saturday, December 31st at approximately 06.30 p.m. at a home on Stage Corn road in Beacon Hill. According to the investigating officers, the couple that was involved in this case were having serious trouble which each other. The situation got out of control and became physical. At one point one of the parties got hold of a knife. During the scuffle, both parties suffered injuries and had to be treated at the Sint Maarten Medical Center. After treatment both were taken to the police station for further investigating. The knife that was used in this fight was also confiscated.
