PHILIPSBURG:--- Healthcare employees from the Mental Health Foundation, White and Yellow Cross and Mental Health Caribbean recently participated in a training/ workshop on “Intervention strategies for destructive and threatening behavior." The 4-day training/ workshop were hosted by MHC Forensic case manager Tom Hunting and job coach Eugene Statie.
Disruptive behaviors among healthcare workers can threaten the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. Although disruptive behaviors have long been a concern among healthcare workers, they have often gone unchecked, or even worse, accepted as part of the system. By not addressing these behaviors, organizations silently support and reinforce
