~ COM waiting on SBOD for their report on a failed negotiation.~

PHILIPSBURG:— The Council of Ministers especially the Minister of VROMI basically placed their feet in their mouths when they opted to select Robert Jan James for the position of Chief Executive Officer of NV GEBE. SMN News was reliably informed that James who is currently negotiating with the Supervisory Board of Directors made some ridiculous demands such as the highest salary that any CEO of Government-owned companies ever made, the source said James is demanding a salary that exceeds NAF 30,000.00.
SMN News further learned that James is also demanding that a contract be signed before his screening process begins and in the event, he fails the screening then N.V. GEBE must pay him out the contract. Further that James is demanding all of N.V GEBE’s financial records as he negotiates his benefits and other perks.
According to information provided to SMN News, the Council of Ministers discussed the new developments during the COM meetings this week and has decided to appoint Dr. Sharine Daniel to the position since Daniel is now the interim director.
However, before Daniel is appointed the Supervisory Board of N.V GEBE must send in their report to the Council of Ministers informing them that their negotiations with the selected CEO candidate failed. So far that report has not yet been submitted to the Council of Ministers.
