SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - For its expanded 2026 edition, the St. Maarten Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) allows "Early Bird" subscribers to "Chirp First" where they want to be seated on the tradeshow floor.

The "Chirp First Early Bird offer" is available until December 1st 2026, after which regular floor plan allotment systems take over. With this announcement, subscription for the 18th edition of SMART has officially been opened.

The new "Chirp First" option is designed to reward the many St. Maarten / St. Martin companies that have loyally been present at the binational tradeshow often for decades and already know they are taking part in the next edition on June 22nd-June 26th 2026 to co-shape their brand presence.

The offer however also stands for suppliers and vendors new to the tradeshow. With an increasing trend of the use of double booths at the event, "Chirping First" is recommended; the same applies when electricity is needed for digital presentations or extensive displays.

The St. Maarten / St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) is the largest tourism tradeshow of the northeastern Caribbean, organized by the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) in close cooperation with the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau (STB), l’Office du Tourisme (OdT) and Club du Tourisme (CdT).

The binational tourism industry event has been held for over 25 years; the 2025 edition will mark the 18th time the event takes place. The tradeshow is intended to highlight tourism and other industries of the island, to have visiting tourism partners get a taste of the island in a culinary and cultural sense and to expand the island economy in the process.

Over time, the event has added new features to remain competitive as an immersive destination business card. Amongst others a "Small Hotel Square" with reduced boutique hotel prices and the return of the sustainable tourism "Green Room" was announced previously. A full program in development since the 2025 SMART edition will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

With the "Chirp First" campaign, SMART2026 subscription season has officially opened.

The "Chirp First" option will also apply to the new Small Hotel Square. "Chirping First" can be done as of today by showing interest via info@shta.com, after which a location of choice is selected in conjunction with the SMART team. A first come first served basis applies. More information about SMART can be found at shta.com/SMART.
