THE NETHERLANDS (THE HAGUE) – Minister Plenipotentiary Drs. Gracita R. Arrindell, recently received Clifton Walle, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the Integrity Chamber of Sint Maarten, for a courtesy visit at the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague.
During the meeting, Minister Arrindell and Walle discussed current developments on Sint Maarten as well as the work, role, and ongoing developments of the Integrity Chamber. The discussion highlighted the importance of the Integrity Chamber in promoting integrity, transparency, and good governance within the wider community of Sint Maarten.
Minister Arrindell noted the significance of Sint Maarten having an established Integrity Chamber within the Kingdom and emphasized the importance of strengthening public awareness of the institution and its mandate.
The Minister also shared information on the Cabinet’s ongoing efforts to develop and expand its Sint Maarten diaspora database and network in the Netherlands. She encouraged the Integrity Chamber to make use of the Cabinet’s network as a platform for increasing awareness about the work of the Chamber, promoting integrity-related initiatives, and sharing information on employment and other vacancies within the organization. Minister Arrindell reaffirmed the Cabinet’s willingness to facilitate greater engagement between institutions in Sint Maarten and members of the Sint Maarten community abroad, particularly where such cooperation can contribute to institutional strengthening and the continued development of the country.
