Union leader Claire Elshot freed

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The Judge of Instruction on Thursday, December 15, suspended the pre-trial detention of V.C.E.A. (59). She was arrested on suspicions of threat, insult and libel.

She remains a suspect in the ongoing investigation and must refrain from having contact with the complainant. She is also to abstain from using Facebook for the next 3 months.
