HAVANA, CUBA — Aline Hanson, President of the Collectivite of St. Martin, addressing the 8th extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States in Havana, Cuba, shortly before St. Martin was accepted as an Associate Member of the ACS.

Prime Minister of St. Maarten William Marlin, and the Ambassador of Guadeloupe also made brief remarks. Prime Minister told the meeting that the 37 square miles were now reunited as one in the ACS.

On behalf of the government and people of St. Maarten, but also on behalf of the delegations of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, he welcomed President Hanson and her delegation and wished them much success.
