PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Sunday May 19, the St. Maarten Aids Foundation hosted its annual candlelight memorial service in remembrance of those who have passed on and those affected by HIV/AIDS.
This year’s memorial theme is: intensifying the fight for health and rights. Minister of Public Health Emil Lee congratulated the St. Maarten Aids Foundation on the developments made over the years, including recent recognitions by international foundations.
Minister Lee shared words of recognition for the need of improved health care options and access to care close to home for residents.
