GREAT BAY--The Klimaxx Troupe for Carnival 2026 continues its mission of preserving and celebrating St. Maarten’s rich cultural heritage through dynamic storytelling, costume, and performance, made possible through the valued support of the Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied (CCG).

For the second consecutive year, CCG has provided essential financial support, enabling Klimaxx to bring cultural narratives to life across both youth and adult participants. In an environment where funding for cultural initiatives has become increasingly challenging, this continued investment stands as a testament to the importance of safeguarding and promoting Caribbean identity.

This year’s presentation reflects a powerful dual narrative. The adult section pays tribute through “Homage to Tanny & The Boys,” honoring legacy, history, and the cultural icons that have shaped the island’s story. Simultaneously, the children’s section shines a light on St. Maarten’s national symbols and local wonders, including the national tree, the iconic Courthouse, and other meaningful elements that define the island’s heritage.

Beyond the road, the impact of this initiative has extended into the community through a series of interactive workshops and hands-on learning experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom. These sessions have provided young participants with deeper insight into their cultural roots while fostering creativity, pride, and engagement.

Klimaxx extends heartfelt gratitude to the Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied for their unwavering support over the past two years, as well as to the dedicated facilitators, participating schools, and supportive parents who have all played a vital role in bringing this vision to life.

“We look forward to seeing everyone come out this Sunday to experience a vibrant display of our history through the eyes of our children,” say the Klimaxx Troupe leaders and organizers.

The Klimaxx Troupe invites the entire community to witness this cultural celebration during the upcoming parade, where tradition, education, and creativity unite in a powerful expression of St. Maarten’s identity.
