GREAT BAY--St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry, COCI, President Tamara Leonard will take the Island Roots to Global Routes Trade Mission across Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba next week as preparations continue for the regional business mission to Miami scheduled for November 16 through 19, 2026.
Leonard will visit Curaçao on September 7, Bonaire on September 8 and Aruba on September 9, meeting with partnering island delegation members and presenting the goals, vision and opportunities connected to the trade mission.
The regional outreach forms part of COCI’s effort to ensure that participating islands are fully engaged in the initiative and understand the opportunities available to Caribbean businesses seeking to establish stronger international connections.
COCI said the trade mission is designed to strengthen regional collaboration while helping businesses throughout the Caribbean expand their networks, identify new opportunities and position themselves to compete in international markets.
The Chamber said the Island Roots to Global Routes initiative reflects a broader effort to connect businesses across the region before taking a collective Caribbean presence into Miami.
During her visits to the ABC Islands, Leonard will meet directly with participating partners and delegation members to discuss the mission’s structure, objectives and potential benefits for businesses interested in expanding beyond their home markets.
The Miami component of the mission is scheduled for November 16 through 19, 2026.
COCI is encouraging businesses that have not yet registered to do so and become part of the initiative as planning continues and additional partners, opportunities and mission details are announced.
The upcoming schedule is Curaçao on September 7, Bonaire on September 8, Aruba on September 9 and Miami from November 16 through 19.
Businesses interested in participating can register through the online form provided by COCI.
The Chamber is also encouraging businesses to join COCI Business Connect, its official WhatsApp channel, for information on business opportunities, mission updates and other developments from the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
