Wooden house set ablaze in Middle Region fire.

MIDDLE REGION--A small wooden house was destroyed by a fire in the Middle Region area on Friday morning, August 7. At about 11:20am, the Police Force of St. Maarten “KPSM” Central Dispatch received several calls reporting a fire in the area.

A KPSM patrol unit responded and arrived in the vicinity of Brill Road, where a parcel of land was found to be on fire. Shortly afterwards, the Fire Department arrived and began efforts to bring the blaze under control.

During the firefighting operation, the fire destroyed a small wooden house before it could be extinguished. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The circumstances surrounding the fire are currently being assessed. KPSM said further information will be provided as it becomes available.
