SIMPSON BAY--Winair has announced that it will be flying a new route between Barbados and St. Kitts, a move the St. Maarten government-owned airline calls “another milestone in Winair’s strategic growth”.

Winair will operate three weekly flights between Grantley Adams International Airport and Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

This schedule aligns with that of Winair’s interline partner, Royal Dutch Airlines KLM, which is operating an Amsterdam-Barbados-Guyana route this winter season, also on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Winair says its new St. Kitts-Barbados route will enhance its services from Barbados, which already has flights to St. Maarten and Dominica. When counting Tortola, passengers from Barbados can now connect to four destinations in Winair’s regional network.

“Barbados remains a vital part of our regional footprint,” said Winair chief executive officer Hans van de Velde. “By adding St. Kitts and Tortola as new destinations from Barbados, we are not only strengthening our presence in Barbados but also making inter-island travel more seamless for our customers.”

Winair currently travels to 17 destinations and has a fleet of nine aircraft, comprising five Twin Otters and four ATR-42s.
