PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten Police Force KPSM is pursuing new leads in the disappearance of United States citizen Ann Evans, following reports that a woman matching her description had checked into a hotel in Marigot, French Saint Martin.

According to information gathered by investigators, the woman allegedly used Evans’ passport to register at the hotel and has been seen in the vicinity of the property. KPSM has contacted the French Gendarmerie to verify the sighting and is working closely with its counterparts across the border.

Evans was reported missing on November 20, 2025, after leaving the cruise ship Rotterdam for an organised island tour. She exited the tour bus during a scheduled stop in Marigot but did not return to the vehicle or re-board the ship.

Since then, KPSM has carried out extensive checks and followed multiple investigative leads in line with legal procedures. Authorities emphasise that while the reported sighting is a significant development, confirmation is still pending.

Anyone who may have seen Evans or who has information relevant to the investigation is urged to contact the KPSM Public Hotline at +1-721-542-2222 or the emergency number 911.

Police further remind the public that sharing unverified information or images can hinder the investigation. All tips will be handled confidentially and in accordance with the law.
