Scooter accident in Orient Bay claims another life | THE DAILY HERALD

MARIGOT—A scooter rider was killed in Orient Bay on Friday evening, the Gendarmerie reported.

According to the preliminary information at around 8:00pm the scooter was heading towards Orient Bay from the French Quarter direction on the RN7 and on entering Orient Bay the scooter rider clipped the wing mirror of a small truck coming in the opposite direction, that caused the rider to lose control of his scooter.

The scooter rider, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a crash helmet, the Gendarmerie added.
