A committee formed by Dominicanos living on the island for many years, is collecting donations to help supply a van with water, canned food, blankets, clothing and appliances, among other items.

This operation began last Friday. The collection point is at D-Sport Café Bar & Restaurant (Cirylo Bar) in front of Sundial School in Philipsburg. Donations can be dropped off daily from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

This is not the first time that COPROA executed a collection in the aftermath of a disaster. The committee has had a similar collection in the past for Puerto Plata. The COPROA comprises communicators, community leaders, church leaders and others.
