ANGUILLA--On Saturday July 25 a Royal Air Force A400M transport aircraft touched down in Anguilla. The landing was to ensure that in times of need the aircraft would safely land in Anguilla with supplies and personnel to assist.
It also provided an opportunity for local officials and RAF personnel to discuss hurricane preparedness and emergency response planning ahead of the height of the 2026 hurricane season. Paul Eason from the Governor's Office, joined airport officials in welcoming the RAF team.
The visit highlighted the partnership between the UK and Anguilla and the importance of maintaining readiness to support the island during times of crisis.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen resilience and ensure effective coordination between local and UK partners in advance of the peak hurricane season.
