This afternoon through Friday midday: Fair to partly cloudy and breezy with brief light showers possible.

SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Friday midday: Northeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 10 to 18 mph and higher gusts possible.  

        

SYNOPSIS:         

A drier and more stable atmosphere in the wake of a frontal boundary will restrict precipitation during this forecast period. The Atlantic high-pressure ridge will maintain mostly moderate winds.  

Long period northerly swells will cause seas to peak at 10 feet with gradual improvement as the weekend approaches. Therefore, a small craft advisory is in effect for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.    

 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate to Rough       WAVES/SWELLS: 7 to 10 feet  

        

SPECIAL FEATURES: None.  

      

OUTLOOK through Saturday midday: Fair to partly cloudy and breezy with brief isolated showers possible.
