SURFACE WINDS:  Today through Wednesday morning: Southeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 07 to 16 mph.

 

 

SYNOPSIS:   A surface trough will cause isolated showers across the region. These showers may be moderate and could be accompanied with thunder. Meanwhile, moist and warm southeasterly winds are expected through the forecast period.   Seas will remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

 

 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to moderate         WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 6 feet

 

 

SPECIAL FEATURES:  A tropical wave located about 500 miles east of the Eastern Caribbean has a low chance (20%) of formation through the next 5 days. Conditions remain unfavorable for significant development as it nears the island chain. However, the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this system.

 

 

OUTLOOK through Thursday midday: Partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
