Although no baby was born in St. Maarten on January 1 this year, Baby de Weever was born just 11 minutes after midnight on January 2. Tamica de Weever became a proud mother when Dr. Matthews delivered the six-pound infant at St. Maarten Medical Center. The new mom received a gift basket from Manrique Capriles and the hospital. Baby de Weever is the first born for 2016. (Andrew Dick photo)
