The community of Bommelerwaard in the Netherlands has shown their support for still-recovering St. Maarten by raising funds for a playground set and 1,500 euros for school materials via Koks Gesto for Hillside Christian Schools’ Helmich Snijders campus in St. Peters and Asha Steven campus in Cay Hill. The community learned of the country and school needs via Elly Wesselo, who was in touch with Teacher Bernadette Hassell. In photo: Walter Esch presents a symbolic check to Asha Stevens as Principal Blondell Sprott and Adjunct Principal Shermel Grant look on.
