PHILIPSBURG--Nation Opportunity Wealth (NOW) Member of Parliament (MP) and Vice Chairman of the Justice Committee Lyndon Lewis says Johishi Romney’s commitment, competence and integrity have been clearly demonstrated throughout his public-service career, describing his appointment as Secretary-General of the Bureau Ombudsman as “well deserved.”
Lewis extended congratulations to Romney, whose appointment as Secretary-General of the Bureau Ombudsman took effect on September 1.
Lewis highlighted his own experience working with Romney during his tenure as Minister of Justice, saying Romney consistently went beyond what was expected in his service to the Ministry.
“Congratulations are in order for Secretary-General Johishi Romney. I am extremely proud to have worked with Mr. Romney during my tenure as Minister of Justice, where he consistently went above and beyond in service to the Ministry,” MP Lewis stated.

Lewis wished Romney tremendous success as he begins his new professional chapter. He also expressed confidence that Romney’s leadership will further strengthen the work of the Bureau Ombudsman while advancing good governance, transparency and accountability in St. Maarten.
