The initiative follows discussions held earlier this year between Minister of Justice Nathalie Tackling and AUC representatives on strengthening the Ministry’s operational readiness and its ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

The training was delivered by certified instructors from the Windward Islands Emergency Medical Services (WIEMS) alongside AUC medical students. Participants included customs officers, the Secretary-General, staff from the Minister’s Cabinet, Immigration officers, and representatives of various justice departments.

According to the Ministry, the program aims to enhance frontline capacity across the justice chain, ensuring that personnel are equipped with essential life-saving skills. Officials said additional training and capacity-building initiatives are planned as the Ministry continues to prioritise preparedness, resilience, and improved service to the public.
