I-Novus and Safe Haven to host fatherhood seminar

  PHILIPSBURG--The firm of I-Novus Innovative Solutions and Safe Haven Foundation will host an educational seminar for the community, themed “The Need to Father with Purpose and Love,” in August. The seminar is the first initiative stemming from a memorandum of understanding (MOU) I-Novus signed with Safe Haven in Holland House Beach Hotel on July 17 to promote, raise awareness and funds for Safe Haven’s domestic violence educational programme. The MOU, in effect from July 19, 2017, until July 31, 2020, was signed by Safe Haven board President Angelique Roumou and Managing Director Cassandra Richardson with Director Benjamin Ortega and Andrea Ortega of I-Novus. Safe Haven’s representatives said the Foundation is “extremely elated” to collaborate with I-Novus. They pointed out that sponsors are very important for the Foundation to keep any educational events accessible to the community via free entry. The seminar will focus on assisting and providing men, especially fathers, with much-needed guidance and will highlight the importance of fatherhood and the fathering of young boys. Organisers call on the community, especially men, to attend the seminar to learn new techniques in combatting hardships and grooming of sons to become better men. “If everyone would ensure to do as much as they can to improve their direct circle of trust and influence, a ripple effect will start, and before you know it, the world you live in will become a better place for us all,” said Ortega. “Being a father, your main goal in life is to raise your children in a responsible safe manner and to safeguard them from all dangers. ... Ensure that you show your values and morals that contribute to a good society.”
