“De Wizard”.
ANGUILLA--The race to be crowned Champion of Champions has just started and continues all week. Two exciting races took place on Sunday and Monday for the A Class boats. “De Wizard” won both races, so currently stands at the top of the rankings with ten points. In both races “Light and Peace” was second, “UFO” was third, “Sonic” was fourth and “Bush Boys” fifth. Nine boats took part in the races.
On Tuesday the race was from Sandy Ground to Island Harbour and on Wednesday they will race from Sandy Ground to Meads Bay where there will be two laps for each race giving the spectators more opportunity to watch the skill of the tacking techniques.
The Championship races will be at Sandy Ground on Sunday August 9.
