Two scooters collided in a road accident at the junction of Mansionweg and Dr. H.A. Korthalsweg and Paramiraweg in St. Eustatius around 11:50pm on Saturday, September 28. One person who was involved in the accident was taken to Queen Beatrix Medical Centre for treatment but was later released. For safety reasons the Road to Jeems and Paramiraweg were cordoned off by two vehicles of Police Force Caribbean Netherlands KPCN. The Fire Department Caribbean Netherlands BKCN also arrived at the scene as the two scooters were engulfed in flames. After the fire was put out in a timely manner, the scooters were removed and the road cleared of debris and fuel.
