Anguilla’s number 9, J. Hodge goes up for a shot against Tortola in the Battle of the Fittest International Basketball Tournament at L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium last night. Tortola won 97-49. In the late game Wednesday U.S. beat Aruba 66-51. The competition is divided into two pools. In the North bracket are Aruba, USA and St. Maarten. In the South pool are Tortola, St. Martin, Anguilla and Dominican Republic. Admission is US $3. Action continues this evening as Anguilla takes on Dominica Republic at 7:00pm and at 9:00pm Tortola tips off against St. Martin. The final, for the US $5,000 prize is slated for July 24.
