ANGUILLA--Ten athletes from Anguilla will represent the island at the XXIII Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 23 July to 2 August 2026.

Known as the “Friendly Games,” the Commonwealth Games bring together athletes from across 74 Commonwealth nations and territories every four years in one of the world's premier multi-sport events. The Games provide an opportunity for athletes to compete at the highest level while fostering friendship, unity, and cultural exchange among Commonwealth countries. This year Anguilla will be represented in Track Cycling for the first time ever at a Commonwealth Games.

Supporting the athletes will be a dedicated team of coaches and officials led by Chef de Mission Rollins Richardson. The Swimming Team, accompanied by coaches and officials Joseph Williams and Kamarla Fearon-Vanterpool, will depart Anguilla on 20 July 2026. The Track and Field Team will depart on 23 July 2026, accompanied by coaches and officials Karim Hodge, Severin Pradel, Pamela Ser-rant-Fleming, and Kirthly Richardson.The Track Cyclist will depart on 26 July 2026 and will be joined in Glasgow by coach Christopher Gill.

Also travelling with the delegation will be Kenn Banks, President of the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association (Commonwealth Sport Anguilla), and Althea Hodge, Secretary General. Minister of Sports, Cardigan Connor (who is also a member of Commonwealth Sport Anguilla) will attend the Ministers of Sports Meetings.

Commonwealth Sport Anguilla expresses sincere appreciation to its sponsors and supporters, par-ticularly Joe McEnness, AVIA.NG, John Barker, and others whose generous contributions have assisted with the procurement of the team’s official attire and competition gear. Their support has played a vital role in ensuring that Team Anguilla is prepared to represent the island with pride on the interna-tional stage.

Anguilla will compete in three different sports, athletics, swimming and cycling. Tri-Tania Lowe will compete in the 100m & Long Jump; Sage Connor, Saymon Rijo and Trenton Brooks in the 100m & 200m Sprint; Trenton Brooks 100m & 200m Sprint; J’Quan Samuels and Johniff Gumbs in High Jump & Long Jump. In the swimming section Kayleigh Vanterpool and Josiah Minott will compete in the 50m freestyle, the 50m backstroke and the 100m freestyle. Jonathan Irizarry will be in the 50m freestyle, the 50 m breaststroke and the 50m butterfly. In the Track Cycling Delroy Carty will compete in the 40km Points Race, the 10km Scratch Race and the Elimination Race.
