ANGUILLA--From October 1, no COVID-19 pre-arrival tests for unvaccinated travellers to Anguilla are required.

This applies to both visitors and residents and was decided by the Executive Council at their meeting on September 29. The COVID-19 pre-arrival test for unvaccinated persons was the last of the remaining COVID-19 entry protocols. Therefore, the discontinuation of this requirement also means that all COVID-19 entry requirements ended on October 1

However, in issuing this announcement, the Ministry of Health states that the discontinuation of these protocols does not mean that COVID-19 is no longer a threat and reminds the general public that frequent handwashing and the practice of good hygiene remain the best ways to protect yourself and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Ministry also notes that vaccination (including timely boosters) remains the most effective form of protection against severe disease and death particularly for those who are most vulnerable, including the elderly and persons with underlying chronic diseases.

Vaccination and booster doses are still available and increasingly are a requirement for travel. The ministry urges the general public to take proactive steps to protect their health and that of their family members by getting vaccinated.
