Airport conducts live emergency exercise

AIRPORT--The management of Princess Juliana International Airport SXM will be conducting a live emergency exercise at the Airport starting in the morning on Tuesday. The drill will simulate the immediate response and evacuation procedures that should be used for any type of emergency in and surrounding the terminal building.

The live emergency exercise is a standard practice at airports, carried out in accordance with the Fire Safety and Evacuation Plan and is sanctioned by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The Airport requests the understanding and consideration of the public and apologises for any inconvenience caused during this emergency exercise.
