St. Maarten News – As if four days of racing and four days of world class parties was not enough, the event organizers would like to announce that there will be an Après Sail party on Monday March 7. This fifth night of regatta festivities will take place at Marina Royale on French St. Martin. This will be the one and only official event during the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta that will take place on the French side of the island.

Marina Royale offers a prime location for a regatta event, their positioning on the lagoon allows for perfect dinghy access. The dock will be cleared for those wishing to attend by dinghy and there will be additional security with K9 support on the docks all evening.  There will be a capacity of approximately 200 dinghies for the evening’s festivities.  French police will also be present during the Après Sail to help make sure that party goers can enjoy a safe and fun filled regatta party experience.

The organization has booked DJ Marco to be the resident DJ for the evening. Live music will be performed by Rocking Band, which is sure to get everyone moving and grooving. There will also be a variety of vendors and dancers, adding to the fun atmosphere already existing at Marina Royale. The regatta organizers have also been able to confirm that restaurants will be offering drink specials all night. The Après Sail party will start at 6 p.m. and end at 1 a.m.

Thursday’s evening events will take place at Princess Port de Plaisance hotel, with plenty of parking and a water taxi service from the Yacht Club. Friday night’s party will repeat its location on the Boardwalk in Philipsburg, including a new Boardwalk Market.  Saturday and Sunday brings the crowd back to Simpson Bay, with a beach party on Kim Sha Beach.
